Old World Euro Market and Bakery in Huntington Beach has unveiled its holiday-themed Christmas Market just in time for the holiday season. Now open every Monday through Thursday (9:00 am-7:00 pm) and Friday through Sunday (8:00 am to 7:00 pm).
The market features traditional European holiday favorites such as Stollen (a holiday sweet bread), Pfeffernusse (iced gingerbread cookies) and Gluhwein (a mulled red wine). In addition, there will be some novelty items such as Santa-shaped pound cakes, chocolate Santas, specially shaped Pretzels, and many imported chocolates, liqueurs and treats to spread the holiday cheer.
“Having grown up in Old World Village, it holds a special place in my heart especially during the holidays. Some of my fondest memories are of me waking up on Christmas morning and eating Stollen with my mom and dad,” said Cyndie Kasko, owner of Old World Euro Market and Bakery. “I’m glad that I’m able to share this family tradition with my children, but as well all of Orange County.”
The holiday festivities get started this weekend with the St. Martin’s Lantern Fest & Parade on Saturday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the SWEA of Orange County Christmas Fair on Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
December festivities will include the popular Winter Weiner-land Rescue and All Breeds Invitational Race on Sunday, December 3 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and an International Celebration of Christmas and Nativity Play on Sunday, December 17 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
